2010 American Veterans Disabled for Life Proof Silver Dollar - Comes In Its Original Mint Box With Certificate Of Authenticity

The 2010 Disabled American Veterans Silver Dollar commemorates those soldiers who fought and survived, but not without injury. A portion of the sales went to the Disabled Veterans' LIFE Memorial Foundation to to aid in the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The obverse features the legs and feet of three veterans, including crutches. Inscriptions include: THEY STOOD UP FOR US, in reference to the brave disabled veterans who have survived military service injuries for our freedom, as well as IN GOD WE TRUST, 2010, LIBERTY, and the W mint mark. The reverse features a wreath of oak leaves wrapped in ribbon with a forget-me-not flower at the bottom. Oak branches are widley seen as a symbol of strength and the forget-me-not has been used to remember those who fought and became disabled or did not survive since World War I. Reverse inscriptions include: "Take This Moment to Honor Our Disabled Defenders of Freedom," UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM and ONE DOLLAR.

2014 Baseball Hall of Fame Proof Silver Dollar In Original Government Packaging with COA

The 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame Proof Silver Dollar is limited to a mintage of 400,000 between the Proof and Uncirculated variations. They are the first curved coins released by the U.S. Mint. The Proof Dollar bears the "P" Mint Mark on the reverse.

The design of the coin, by Cassie McFarland, was chosen by the Department of the Treasury in consultation with the National Baseball Hall of Fame and U.S. Commission of Fine Arts and reviewed by the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee. The obverse of the coin depicts a baseball glove which mirrors the glove's concave appearance. It carries the inscriptions Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2014. The reverse design depicts a baseball and mirrors a baseball's convex appearance. It carries the inscriptions United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and One Dollar.

The 2015 March of Dimes Proof Silver Dollar celebrates the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the March of Dimes. Founded by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on the eve of World War II as the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, the March of Dimes was instrumental in the eradication of polio from the United States. Since then the March of Dimes’ mission has been the prevention of birth defects, and it has been at work with new research and discoveries to help every generation of babies be born healthy and grow up strong.

The obverse (heads) design represents the past depicting President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dr. Jonas Salk, two leaders in the fight against polio. The inscriptions are “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST“ and “2015.”

The reverse (tails) design depicts a baby cuddled in the hand of a parent, representing the foundation’s dedication to the health of babies. The inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “$1,” “MARCH OF DIMES” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
