Obverse and Reverse: Thomas D. Rogers, Sr. Mr. Rogers has won serveral design competitions, including the Garden State Numismatic Association's Ten Year Anniversary Medal in 1985 and the American Numismatic Association's One Hundred Year Anniversary Medal's obverse "Centurion" in 1991. Since joining the U.S. Mint in 1991, his designs have appeared on the reverse of the Gold Five Dollar and Silver Dollar Columbus Quincentenary Coins. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 through 1966.

2004 Lewis & Clark Proof Silver Dollars. Struck At the Philadelphia Mint. 

Struck in 90% silver these legal tender dollars show Lewis and Clark on a stream bank planning another day of exploration. Lewis is seen holding his rifle in one hand and his journal in the other. The reverse features two feathers to represent the many American Indian cultures touched by the Corps of Discovery. It also features an image of the original Jefferson Peace Medal presented to American Indian Nations during the expedition on behalf of President Jefferson, surrounded by 17 stars representing the number of states in the Union in 1804.

Each coin comes with a certificate of authenticity and is housed in its original mint capsule and box.

2004 Thomas Alva Edison Proof Silver Dollar 

This Commemorative was struck in 2004 in honor of the 125th anniversary of Thomas Edison's inventing of the light bulb in 1879. 

Thomas Alva Edison was dubbed "The Wizard of Menlo Park" Edison was one of the first inventors to apply the principles of mass production and is often credited with the creation of the first industrial research laboratory.

Thomas Edison was one of the most prolific inventors in history, holding some 1,093 U.S. patents in his name, as well as many patents in the United Kingdom, France and Germany. In later years he built a winter home in Ft. Myers Florida - next door to his friend Henry Ford.

The 2008 Bald Eagle Commemorative Slver Dollar Commemorates the 35th anniversary of the endangered species act and celebrates the removal of this national symbol from the endangered list.

Each of these Proof Bald Eagle Dollars was struck in 90% silver and features a flying Bald Eagle on the obverse and the Great Seal of the United States on the reverse. All were struck at the Philadelphia Mint with the mintage limited to 500,000 pieces in all forms.
