Struck in accordance with legislation passed by Congress and signed by the President on September 27, 2006, as Public Law 109-285 at the Philadelphia Mint, these superb gem proof silver dollars commemorate the 200th anniversary of President Lincoln's birth. Like many modern commemoratives the mintage was limited to 500,000 pieces in all formats.
